Site Description:

This is a unique area where you can paddle on a narrowing river that features the tidal influence of the coast. The smell of the marine environment along with the coastal breezes, osprey nesting platforms, and the discovery of what's around the next bend combine to make this an especially inviting paddle. From the launch, if you head to your right you are a little over 0.8 mile from the Connecticut River. If you head to the left (inland) you have about 2.5 miles of scenic paddling in front of you. Parking for 6 cars. PLEASE NOTE: This site is for car-top boat launching only. To help you reach Lieutenant River State Boat Launch, some routes leading to this site are posted with boat launch symbol signs.
