On The Water:

After you put in - you'll be following the west bank of the Connecticut River. You'll see Eustasia Island to your left for most of the trip.

First you'll need to head north about 1/2 mile towards Deep River and the town named after it. If the tide is with you, you'll be able to explore a small section of the river. Once your done head back out and then take the 3/4 mile trip down to Post Cove just past Pratt Cove.

Post Cove is full of wildlife and birds and worth exploring. After you're don head back out and the north about 1/4 mile to Pratt Cove.

Pratt Cove which is also fun to explore - just keep an eye out for motorboats entering and leaving the marina at the mouth of the cove. About 3/4's of a mile in you'll pass under the Essex Street Bridge - explore the coves beyond it.

As you turn around and head back to the bridge - the take out will be at the right side corner of the bridge.

Cautions:  Wakes on the Connecticut River.

Check Tide Times before heading out or Free Tide Tables
