Directions:

This section of the river's navigable stretch runs from from Wilton to the Merritt 7. You can park one car at the Wilton Train Station and the other at the Merritt 7 Train station.

On The Water:

It takes about two hours to paddle down to the Merritt 7. Along the way you have a good scenic tour of a hidden side of Wilton.

Under the US-7 bridge just north of the Merritt 7 is a very cool stone bridge. The US-7 bridge was built directly above this older crossing. This is also the most exciting part of the river, as it narrows between rocks and has some dramatic drops. Nothing that would scare a professional
