Directions:

From I-91 - Take Exit 36 and head west on Route 178 for 6.2 miles and then turn right onto Route 185. Drive 2.5 miles to the access road on the right at the stoplight just before the bridge. Note the large Sycamore tree in the parking lot.

The put-in on the Farmington River at Weatogue "Silver Bridge" on route 185, is just a couple hundred yards east of the intersection with routes 10 & 202 (College Highway).

3 mile west on Route 4 from junction Route 10&4 in center of Farmington. Cross the Route 4 bridge in Farmington and turn left on to a small paved road leading to a large parking lot

On The Water:

As you put in at the Route 185 access and head down river - you'll hit a few riffles. Your float is through a relatively undeveloped area as you float from Simsbury to Avon to your take out in Farmington.
