On The Water:

This river runs south into Long Island Sound and is between Madison and Clinton. If you are planning to paddle in the tidal section of this river below the old fish hatchery, plan your trip for middle or high tide – unless you like to portage. Tides run about a half hour earlier that Boston, Massachusetts
