72°19'26.36"W Latitude On The Water: As you come to the mouth of the Lieutenant River bear left and about a 1/4 mile in on your left is the entrance to the Duck River. Depending on the tide will determine how far up river you can go on the Duck River. Make sure you've check your tide charts. As you come out of the Duck River - or just by pass it about a 1/2 mile down you'll come to a small connector on your right which will take you down to the Back River and the upper end of Great Island. Or you can by pass the connector and travel another 1 1/4 miles to the mouth of the Black Hall River on the left. On the way you'll pass Smith Neck Town Landing and Great Island State Boat Launch. The river winds north for about 2 miles where you can see alot of wildlife. You can bypass Black Hall River and keeping to your right make your way to the tidal flats of Griswold Point. Also up from Griswold Point are Poverty Point and Poverty Island. Then you can head back and take out either at Great Island State Boat Launch or Smith Neck Town Landing.
