CWTA - Connecticut Paddling Trails - Tolland County - Willimantic River

The put in is at the picnic are at Nye Holman State Park. (There is an alternate put-in further up off of Plains Road.) Once you leave Nye Holman State Park you will pass under the Route 74 bridge. Two miles down the river you'll pass under River Road Bridge followed by two railroad bridges about a 1/4 of a mile apart. The next bridge is about a mile down from here followed by another small bridge.

From this point it less than a mile to Merrow Road. The next two miles after Merrow Road are and easy flow. The river will then split into two directions, stay to the left. The two separate channels will merge again just before you go under the next bridge at the Route 44 bridge.

After this bridge it's about a 1/2 mile to Eagleville Lake. Your last mile of the trip on Eagleville Lake is open water. Once you see signs of houses your only a 1/4 of a mile from the dam and the take out - which is on the right hand side before the dam
