On The Water:

The river is a small tributary of the Natchuag River – which should be paddled in the spring. The river is mostly Class II – but watch out for downed trees. You can start at Westford Road in Eastford which runs along side the river.

For 3 miles you flow through easy rapids. You’ll probably hit some large rocks and small drops along the way flowing into deep pools.

None of the rapids are too difficult unless you come across fallen trees.

Take out at the US 44 bridge or continue a mile down to the Natchuag River – where you can take out near Connecticut Route 198 – 1.25 miles after US 44 at

Charlie Brown Camp Ground

Cautions: Fallen trees
