On The Water:

This is a short paddling trip.  You will see the Put-in location on the left hand side right after a railroad bridge / bike path. This is the site of what once was a railroad bridge off of Kennedy Avenue.

A mile after putting into the river you'll pass under a bridge. About five miles into the trip you'll pass the remains of an old mill. At 5.5 miles into the trip you'll pass under another bridge. Once you've passed under the Cotton Road Bridge  it's about a 1/2 mile to the take out. The river flows into an S curve, winding to the left then right. After these curves you'll hit the the Quinebaug River Bridge / Connecticut Route 101 Bridge. Once you pass under this bridge - the take-out is on your right at a boat ramp / fishing access.
