On The Water:

This is a shallow, narrow, meandering little river that starts in a pretty, wooded location (Meadow Road in Farmington), although much of it is through boggy swamp. We could only go upstream for an hour before hitting shallow, fast moving, riffle by Route 6 in Plainville. Downstream, the river flows into the Farmington River. All in all, it's a nice little paddle when you only want to be out a short time.
