Access to Tyler Lake is provided through a State owned boat launch located on the western shoreline. The launch can be reached by taking Connecticut Route 4 west from Torrington. Approximately 1.5 miles west of the intersection with Connecticut Route 63 turn right onto the second Tyler Heights Road. The launch is on the right at the bottom of the hill
