Basic Information:

Located in an out-of-the-way setting near the northwest tip of Connecticut, Wood Creek Pond offers a very pleasant morning or afternoon of paddling in a shallow, marshy, heavily vegetated pond about a mile long.

Take Out: Same As The Put-In

On The Water: Wood Creek Pond is located way up in Northwestern Connecticut, and worth the drive from other parts in the state. The pond is small enough to be seen in an hour or two. There are a couple of small islands.

As you head north on the pod the shoreline steepens and is heavily wooded. The shallow north end of the pond is filled with a thick muck along the bottom.
