Washining Lake aka East Twin Lake

 

 

Site Location:    Salisbury, Connecticut

Basic Information:

Lake Washining is round, and roughly 0.9 by 1.3 miles (1.5 by 2 km). As one of the Twin Lakes of Salisbury, Lakes Washinee and Washining, whose supposed identities as twins seem in conflict with their dissimilar size and shape.

Important Note:

   Zebra Mussels

Due to the presence of zebra mussels (an invasive species) any boat used in these lakes must NOT be used again for 5 days afterwards & should be cleaned with hot water.
