Site Location:    Hazen Street, Chester, Connecticut

Basic Information:

Although natural in origin, the surface elevation of the lake has been raised approximately 2 feet by a low earthen and concrete dam on Pattaconk Brook, which is its primary inflow and outflow. Cedar Lake is also fed by several small intermittent brooks and numerous submerged springs.

Driving Directions:

The launch area can be reached by taking Route 9 Exit 6, to Route 148 west. Travel 2 miles, turn north on Cedar Lake Road, and take the first right onto Bailey Road to reach the launch.
