Housatonic River Paddling Trail

Paddling This Section Of The River:

Go during the change to high tide and it is easy paddling. Within a half mile there is a nice, calm lagoon where we saw a Kingfisher, there is a drainage canal that we paddled right through, there is a small island during low tide and fishing is good, there is the entrance to the Naugatuck River.
