Basic Information:

Amos Lake is located in the town of Preston in New London County. Approximately 15 miles east of the city of Norwich.

The lake is fed by the outfalls of several small ponds located near the lake. The watershed of the lake is 920 acres with woodland, water, cropland, and open land comprising most of the area. There are several small areas of low and moderate density residential housing. Shoreline development is moderate to dense along the northern and eastern shoreline, with many homes and cottages. Access to the lake is provided by a state owned boat launch located on the western shore
