Take Out: Same As The Put-In

On The Water: This is a small marshy pond with a lot of aquatic vegetation. The northwestern section of the pond takes you up to Misery Brook which winds through the marsh.

You can also paddle a section of the Pachaug River which comes in from the right hand side in the upper northeastern corner of the pond. Once you pass Nature's Campsites you enter Pachaug Great Meadow Swamp as you wind your way upstream and the waterway narrows.

Cautions:

Site History:

Appropriately the term Pachaug comes from the Native American word for "bend or river." The Pequot, Narragansett, and Mohegan tribes lived in the area prior to the arrival of the Europeans.
