Green Falls Pond, one of the most remote bodies of water in this guide, is a real treasure, ideal for a morning or afternoon of quiet paddling and a superb spot for family camping

Driving Directions:

From I-395 to exit 85 - go east on Route 138, 8.5 miles and turn right onto a gravel road  at the sign for Green Falls Reservoir. 1.5 miles past the junction with Route 165 north. Go south for 2.6 miles to the access. Take access road south to Green Falls State Park. Follow signs to launch.

On The Water:

The pond lies within Pauchaug State Forest. Like Beachdale and Glasgo Ponds A few islands dot the pond. From the pond's south end by the dam - you can take out and walk downstream through a deep gorge.
