Take Out: Same As Put-In

On The Water: Mashapaug Lake is about 2 miles long; the boat launch is at the south end of the lake. Nice boat ramp with a small dam next to it. The water is crystal clear, nice place to paddle. The south end of the lake is the prettiest part of the lake. Plenty of places to go to have a picnic or just eat your lunch. The islands on the Mashapaug are private.  The south end of the lake has a lot of evergreen groves with plenty of picnic tables, nice place to bring the family for an outing.

You can also paddle Breakneck Pond where you have to portage about a 1 ½ to get there.  To get to the trail head to Breakneck Pond, right across from where you just see the lake on your right is the trail, there is an information stand there. It's well worth the trip. It's very secluded and a treasure if you're a nature lover.
