The Objective Of Connecticut Water Trails Days

To celebrate the vibrant and vital role of Connecticut’s Water Trails.

The overall mission is to:

  • Promote the sustainable use of the Connecticut Water Trails and to support efforts to restore and maintain its ecological integrity and let people know how they can get involved.

  • To celebrate the ecological, economic, and aesthetic value of water trails and to show ways in which people can work to preserve water trail environments as resources and places of inspiration.

  • Encourage collaboration among groups and individuals, focusing attention on the Connecticut Water Trails system in order to increase environmental awareness through education and celebration.

  • Work in cooperation with community groups, paddling clubs, towns, environmental organizations, businesses, agencies, and other individuals.
