To reach the Put-in head west on Connecticut Route 14 in when you reach the Alymville section of Plainfield drive across the Moosup River Bridge and then take the left onto Barber Hill Road. The Put-in is on your left. As you head down river you'll run into several portages. A Cement Slide, Moosup Village Dam #3, Lower Moosup Dam #4, and then Central Village Dam #5 - see above for specific coordinates. After putting in you'll hit your first rapid a half mile in as well as the remains of a wooden dam - if you put in at Goshen Rod - you can avoid the dam by putting in at Barber Hill Road. You will hit your next rapid after passing under the Barber Hill Road Bridge. You'll also at this point hit the Cement Slide which needs to be portaged on the left side. As you approach Moosup Village you'll come upon your next dam which needs to be portaged on the right side of the river. Once you put back in you'll travel a short while before coming upon the Lower Moosup Dam which you'll need to portage. A mile and half after this dam you'll hit some rapids which need to be scouted out because they were formed from the remains of a dam. You should portage this dam on the left hand side. You'll run into some smaller rapids before reaching the take out. Once you pass under the Highway 12 Bridge you'll pass Central Village once you get close to the next bridge your close to the take out which is on your left right after the bridge.
